Things that Matter
Our Mission ::
To help people far from God discover a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ
Our Vision ::
To be a vibrant Christian community resolved to offer compassion and hope to thousands of people throughout Naperville-Aurora-Oswego-Plainfield and Southwest Chicago. Our passion is to live out the example of Jesus in compassionate communities (iGroups), drawing people far from God into a life-changing relationship with Christ, and bringing positive change all over the world.
We understand that many people are turned off by church and organized religion, but not by God and spirituality. Our desire is to form an authentic, passionate, Christ-centered church with these people in mind. We feel a responsibility not to condemn people, but to understand and engage the culture with Christ’s love. We envision marriages being restored, children protected from damaged emotions, adults finding forgiveness and freedom, teens becoming leaders for the future, people delivered from addictions, /mental strongholds, and the poor and needy being served.
Resolution is committed to being a contemporary church without compromise. We feel uniquely positioned as a church for emerging generations of believers and their families. Our passion is not to imitate other large churches, but creatively innovate the way church is done.
We envision our people progressing toward full maturity in Christ. We are dedicated to the life and leadership of Jesus Christ, the Bible, and the full expression of God’s love to others. We feel called to worship Christ alone and express our love for him through the joy of serving and giving.
At Resolution, we do not have formal membership. We define membership as INVOLVEMENT. Those who are involved in our Four G’s: Growth, Giving, Gifts, and Groups are considered members. We envision a body of believers with deep commitments to one another and a bias for doing whatever it takes to advance the Kingdom of God.
In the near future, we dream of our own church campus which will honor God and allow us to effectively serve our community. We also dream of a counseling center, a church/civic leadership training center, and strategic partnerships with various other social ministries to the disenfranchised.
We do not expect people to come to us complete, but to join us in the process of being created anew by God. We invite all newcomers to join us in this exciting mission of helping people far from God discover a life-changing relationship with Christ. By God’s grace, we anticipate a great future!
